Litter-Robot 4 works for up to 4 cats. Too many cats per single Litter-Robot may result in the litter bed not being clean for the next use.

It's really great as all the reviews mention and has made my life so much better and cleaner for my various kitties. The only thing I dislike is that's it's nearly completely made of plastic and looks almost like wonky and dare I say cheap looking(?) just because some parts of the robot's plastic bits stick out of place. This aspect also makes the robot difficult to clean- however, is still eons cleaner than what I would have to deal with for multiple regular litter boxes. The sensors with the app are amazing, and really keep a good track of everything. Overall, was definitely worth the buy despite the high price.

This was absolutely a game changer, until it wasnt.. when it worked, it saved me alot time. But after a few months, the sensors are not detecting when the cats go potty nor when the litter gets low. I have been extremely diligent about cleaning it out every week, including cleaning the sensors. I watched the videos on the litter bot website, to see how and when to clean it and have followed those instructions to a t. I deep clean it every other month. I waited a long time to get this litterbot, bc of the price, and now im wishing I would have kist stuck with the regular ones. I've tried many different litters, as well. I have dropped a small fortune, for nothing really. Wondering if the new one they keep advertising would be better and not malfunction..

The only thing I'm sorry about is waiting so long to buy this. I saved up for it and took the plunge and it is so worth it. I can't tell you how happy I am with this product. Never having to scoop litter is the best! I did buy the litter hopper with it and it is also so worth it. I just fill up the litter hopper and the machine calculates how much litter to add to the box. It cycles the litter every time one of my 4 cats use the box (after a time period so as not to scare the cat), and I only need ONE litter box. That is life changing for a family with 4 cats. I can keep it downstairs for my aged cat because now there is nothing for my dogs to "get into". It is always clean and doesn't smell. I use regular tidy cats multi cat litter and it works fine. I use regular 13 gallon bags in the waste drawer, which also work fine. The app tells me when the cats have used it (I didn't get the camera option), and the app tells me if there's an issue or when I have to empty the waste bin (which amounts to just grabbing the bag and putting a new one in). Any issues I've had (which is mostly my fault for not having enough litter or moving the box) have been resolved with the reset button. If there is an issue, the machine lights up with a color, you look at your sheet and just do what it says or press some buttons and viola, it's fixed. I can't say enough about this machine. It has been life changing, I'd give 10 stars if I could.

I have been looking into buying one for the longest, since the price is a little over my budget, but I finally got one, and let me tell you - it's fantastic. I can also go on a little getaway for like 2 days without having to worry! My younger one's the one who uses it all the time; my 5-year-old has not used it, but I hope she does. Right now, I have the litter box next to it, but eventually, I will remove it.

I want to return this to you. Our cat tried it, I made sure to empty the waste bin atj 40% or sooner, placed the Robot near where the litter had been, not a scary spot. He used it for about two weeks, less and less consistently, now not at all. We are returning to his use of a litter box, which he used steadily without fail his whole life. This very expensive product is a bust!

For that reason we have to put regular litter boxes out when we leave for more than a day. Mine is 2 years old and completely stopped working last week. It's a lot of money, should last longer.

I’ve only had it for a few days but it’s already SO worth it. Easy to set up, the app is easy to use/understand (which I weirdly love that I can track my cats weight and usage) and easy to refill/take out waste. With a busy household, it’s worth the money to have this chore knocked off my list. Best of all, my cats had no problems adjusting to it and took to it quickly. For size, my one cat is around 10lbs and my second cat around 15lbs. Both fit inside with room to spare. Worth it! Buy it! You won’t regret it! Notes: Don’t put on carpet - hard floor is best as the litter box will go into a “no use” mode if it senses it’s on unstable ground to avoid tipping over while cycling. It’s bigish - not recommended for small nooks. This fits nicely in a corner. A floor mat before the litter box entrance is definitely needed - but that’s like all litter boxes, so no big difference there. There is a bit of space between the entrance of the litter box and floor. A ramp is needed if your cat is older or needs a little extra help.

I love not having to scoop anymore. Just pull out the litter bag around once a week (I have 2 cats). Even my chubby, skittish cat has started using it with the stairs. The hopper is helpful in being sure the right amount of litter is added, and cutting down on how often you need to fill with kitty litter. I would recommend getting the package that includes the hopper when buying the Litter Robot.
