MidWest Exercise Pen Top Fabric Mesh Sunscreen Accessory, Octagonal Configuration, Black

We ordered the mesh cover for this exercise pen to ensure that our Graycie would stay within the confines of this roomy exercise pen. It is very well-constructed and I expect it will last through many seasons. It has a nice weight to it, and the screening is heavy-duty with very small mesh openings, similar to screening but of thicker material. Our cat is middle-aged and very content to hang out in the area where we placed the pen, so she's not clamoring to get out (a kitten I'm not so sure about, but then again, I wouldn't even choose this particular pen for a kitten, who might squeeze through or get caught in the slats of the pen itself, never mind getting under or through the mesh somehow.) The cover doesn't really provide much shade, and is a heat-absorbing black at that, so I think "sunscreen" is a misnomer regarding this cover, but I just throw a blanket over half of this topper in order to provide some shade. I also have the pen set up in a mostly grassy area with some cooling flagstones as well, and the pen is very airy as is, so this hasn't been a huge problem. The hook-and-loop fasteners are strong and easy to use and give a nice fit, not drum tight but pretty close considering the size of this cover. My cat loves this pen over her much more expensive catio, and the cover is at a great price point also. I highly recommend this custom-fit topper as a sturdy accessory that's well worth the price and peace of mind.

Sturdy and well made so should last a long time. Perfect to contain my puppy when I can’t be on top of her. And will be nice to have when we camp.

Love this thing for camping it's easy to transport easy to set up and it has the little sunscreen on it and she loves it she gets to see any place she wants 360 and it's great.
