Does this come with the two end plugs?

Yes, the extension comes with plastic inserts that are already securely attached to the rod for easy setup.

Will this fit on either the Top Paw or Carlson brands?

This extension is designed exclusively for the Midwest 39-inch Steel Pet Gate in Graphite and is available in a width of 3-inches, 6-inches or 11-inches.

Does the gate have a detente to hold the gate open if you don't want it closed all the time?
