Midwest recently enhanced the safety and security of this crate by adding locking tips on the slide-bolt latches to securely lock the door and a patented Paw Block, which prohibits your dog from tampering with the door lock from the inside.

Can the tray be removed from both the side and the front of the crate?

I’d def recommend it for any breed or personality type will not be on a mission to escape.

The double door allows me to switch the position based on where we are. If I am watching my parents dog and at their house, the second door is used. The door insert is sturdy in the crate without me worrying about harm. It’s very useful to get her to settle rather than pace in the crate. Packing it is easy enough and fits in my trunk with little trouble. Would buy again!

He is comfortable in it while she sleeps at night and took right to it on the first night at 10 weeks old. Training him through the day for longer periods to use when we are away. Love the collapsible feature because this is a BIG crate for what will be a big dog!

The door would not close tightly, leaving over an inch gap towards the top of the door for my pup for his nose or paw stuck in. The single latch is towards the lower part of the door. This crate would be much safer if there was an upper and lower latch on each door as with the larger sized crates.
