Is horseradish toxic to cats?

Answer by FrancineG • Jan 06, 2022
Horseradish is an expectorant that increases bronchial secretion and improves mucus expulsion by the lungs. It also acts as a nasal and bronchial dilator, allowing more oxygen to be absorbed into the lungs.

We have 6 year old morkie with a collapsed trachea. He’s on a broncodialator. Can this be given with the broncodialator at bedtime? He still wakes up at night panting.

Most oral herbal products take time to build up to effective levels. Generally, allow 1-2 weeks before they are at full effect. Some formulations, including laxatives and topicals, are formulated to work quickly.

My cat has feline coronavirus and chlostridium. She'll have both the rest of her life. I have her on 2 supplements, also from Chewy. I put all supplements in her food. She refused to eat any of the food with this supplement on it. It's a large quantity (0.5 mls) for a large range of weights. It's also alcohol-based. I won't try this again for her, unfortunately.
