does it make their paws more or less slippery? on floors indoors?

NaturPet Paw & Skin does contain a couple of natural waxes / oils such as coconut oil and olive oil and bees wax. These are generally absorbed fairly quickly into the skin and paws, however, we cannot guarantee that it would not leave marks on flooring.

Can you put this on an open wound?

This supplement can be applied to hot spots, skin wounds, abscesses and bites on your furry friend.

Can you put this directly on their paws? She only licks them excessively.

Great product

It's helped his paws immensely since we've had it. Plus with the fact he likes the taste of it he doesn't fight with it being applied which is a bonus as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cream has a thin texture. Pleasant smell. I opted to try this specifically because it said it was good for paw licking and chewing. I followed the directions and applied this to to paw gnawer, and he immediately started to chew and lick at his paw for 15 minutes!!! However, I did take notice that his gnawing did subside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My rescue Pittie has always had yellow, smelly, dry paws and I've tried a lot of different products with similar results. This is actually the first product I tried with tea tree oil which I like due to the antimicrobial properties and his feet being yellow tinged (probably excess fungal growth). I applied several days in a row, covered paws with baby socks so he wouldn't lick it all off (package does say ok to lick though) and after several treatments I noticed they were less dry and cracked. The yellow and smell will take more time however, good results with moisturizing so far. I also really enjoy the tea tree oil scent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven’t had the product long but we absolutely LOVE it! We have 3 dogs that LOVE to run outside and their foot pads get very dry and cracked. We love that this balm comes in a tube so it is easy to squeeze out onto your fingertips. It smells very nice and clean, but not overpowering or fragranced, just a natural good smell. The balm rubs in well and provides a ton of moisture without being greasy and leaving residue. Best of all, the pups’ foot pads aren’t greasy or slippery after applying it and it is lick safe! After just one application, all of the dogs’ pads are softer, smoother, and more hydrated with healing cracks.

Review of Skin & Hot Spot Cream for Dogs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently got the Arrowleaf Pet by NaturPet Inc. Paw & Skin First Aid & Hot Spot Moisturizing Cream for Dogs for our dogs. The lotion is cool, has a mild, unoffensive scent and is easy to apply. We used this lotion on two of our dogs, one who had gotten a bit of a sunburn from laying outside and the other for his hot spots in his paws. The lotion seems to take affect pretty quickly to soothe the issue area. It did seem to help reduce the redness of our dogs belly quickly! The lotion did not seem to easily wipe off or transfer from the dog to any furniture or blankets after application, which was great. Overall, we believe this product is worth the purchase and would buy in the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got these to soothe hot spots during the approaching hot summer and we like it for that purpose so far! It smells like green tea/mint so the dogs aren’t super interested in licking it off but we like that it’s lick safe for when they do want to pester their hot areas. The cream is pretty thick and spreads evenly. It does have some oils in it so you’ll have to watch furniture but it hasn’t been the worst thing for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product is a good size and smells like a green tea. It is very thick so it will coat the affected areas very well. We have not had to use the product yet, our poor golden boy gets bad hot spots during the warm months. This ointment looks like it will be nice and soothing when needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My pups paws have taken a beating this winter so I decided to try the paw and skin herbal cream. The first thing I noticed was the scent. I did not like the smell but it is for my dogs feet. So I rubbed some on and she immediately started licking them. I decided to look at the ingredients. It was all great soothing oil until I saw there was Comfrey root. I knew that is an herb that is not to be ingested. So I’m not ok with her licking it. I’m hoping that it was rendered in some way to make it safe. If that’s even possible.
