Does this ball throw like a football? Our dog sprints back and forth as we play catch with a normal football and want to be able to do the same but have more durability for when he gets it. Hard to tell the weight of this one.

Got this because I saw some praises about it on FB. The squeaker stopped working after one good stomp from my dog (black lab, 90+ lbs). It’s still inside but no longer connect to the part that makes the noise. As far as it being a chew toy, I will update this part after a bit to see if it stands up to our aggressive chewer.

My dog has had this toy for over a year. She's absolutely obsessed with it. Today rather than putting it up after playing fetch I let her have it on her own. She's an aggressive chewer and I knew there was a chance she would destroy it but she was so content I let her have it anyway. And of course she chewed the end off within minutes. That's on me. Don't pay attention to the poor reviews saying their dog destroyed the toy. It's not a chew toy and if the dog destroys it it's on the owner for allowing unsupervised chew. It's a bit like buying a tennis ball and letting your dog chew on it and then complaining it came apart. You throw the tennis ball and put it away when you're done. I just bought another and expect to get at least another year out of it since now I know for certain she will pick it apart if I leave it with her. That's what heavy chewer do.

Our lag has all sorts of toys. Tug toys, stuffed, etc. This is hands down his favorite toy. We will be playing fetch with another toy because he can't find this

It has turned into his best friend, he takes it on all his walks, he brings it along for dinner time, car rides and sleeps with it. So, I recently bought him a replacement in case he ever loses his best friend.
