It was a puke fest after we started giving our cat this medicine. We started with 1 capsule a day dissolved into her wet food. The cat immediately knew the food had something in it, but reluctantly she ate it. She puked later that day. After 3 days of this pattern, we stopped for a week. I restarted 2 days ago but only gave her HALF of the pill contents in one of her wet food meals. Again, she knew there was something in the food despite us mixing it very well. She did not puke that day, but the next day she puked in the morning, before breakfast. I gave her a later breakfast (half a can of wet food, as always) with the second half of the pill. Two hours later several pukes again. I regret getting the 2-bottle set as now I have 158 pills of this medicine that I will never use. I recommend getting the smallest bottle you can find and trying it with your cat before committing to a larger bottle or subscription. Lesson learned...

I love Cosequin. I have used it on several other pets with no issues. Two of my older cats look like they could use some support, so I started feeding this on 01/13/26 at dinner. The next day, one of my older cats was sick....wouldn't eat, vomiting and severe diarrhea. I got him eating and by Wednesday, he was almost back to normal, so I added the Cosequin back in. Today, 01/15/26, he was sick again. Now, almost 24 hrs later, he is perking up again. I did a google search and discovered that cats can have a reaction to the glucosamine, similar to a shellfish reaction. So, while it is a great product, if feeding to cats, be aware that it can make them sick.

I got this for my 11 year old cat who had started having issues jumping up to her food and onto my bed, and after a little over a week I'm already seeing improvement! I just mix the powder inside the capsules with a churu treat and she loves it (she was also getting a bit light weight-wise for my comfort so that's why I'm okay giving her the treats daily).

Stry is 16, arthritic hips, one in pain from broken pelvis when he was younger. I open a cap, sprinkle a bit on his food, he eats it with no problem. I notice in a while, he's walking more smoothly, seems brighter, some slight increased activity. Any relief I can supply is good news for me. I can't afford the suggested x-rays, biopsies, etc. This small amount of cosequin seems to help relieve his discomfort. I let it sit in his wet food for a few moments to get less noticeable taste. So far, he scarfs it down, and then has no problems jumping from table to counter, or floor to lap.We like the lap leap the best.

I know this is anecdotal, but I truly believe this supplement made a big difference in my older cat’s mobility. He was limping on a his hind leg, possibly due to an old injury. I started giving him the supplements, and the limp is for the most part gone. he now runs, plays, and jumps up on the bed and the cat tree again. I didn’t make any other changes to his diet.

It's for my cat, I have given her all different forms of chewables and she rejected all of them. But she loves her wet food so much, she doesn't mind the taste (if there is one) and I can now finally get her this for her joints. I'm ecstatic!!!
