Do you apply on the top or bottom of the paw? Or does it matter?

This gel can be placed on the top or bottom of the cat's paw, or even on their food dish. Otherwise, we suggest mixing it in your cat's favorite wet food, or liquid treat to encourage them to try it. If your pet does not eat all of the amount offered with their food or treat, please do not re-administer, as we want to make sure they don't eat more than they are supposed to.

For supplemental products, we typically recommend using the product daily or as directed for 4-6 weeks to notice any improvement.

My geriatric kitty sometimes gets hairballs and I wanted to give her a little something sometimes to hopefully help prevent that. I was hoping she would enjoy the flavor and eat it voluntarily, but no. However, I know I can make her eat it if necessary by wiping it on a paw. I will keep it on hand in case she is having hairball troubles. Keep in mind that hairball remedies are basically laxatives, so go easy when administering.

Unfortunately, the last two tubes I purchased in the last six months have not been good. They have changed the formula and it now smells bouillony, is darker and dryer/thicker. My cats used to lick this right off my fingers when it was a creamy, chickeny formula. Now I have to shove it towards the back of their mouth! :( Why did they have to change the formula?!

Nutri-Vet Chicken Flavored Gel Hairball Control Supplement for Cats

My cats loved this product when we first began to use it several years ago. However, the formula was changed at some point and it is no longer a gel type formula. It is very thick, a darker color, and feels gritty. When I opened the tube brand new I thought something had gone bad. Opened up another tube and the same thing. Tried to give it to my cats and they won't touch the new formulation. Had to toss brand new tubes out because of this. If they ever go back to the original which was smooth and flowed very well, and the flavor was as the original, I would buy it again. Until then, no way. Sorry Nutri-Vet, this new formation was a no go here.

Product formulation has been changed. It can no longer be used as a partial because it is thick and dry and hard. I tried five different tubes when the formulation was changed, contacted manufacturer, after submitting many proofs and discussions they finally refunded my money. What a shame to have to throw away what used to be such a good product.

My cats used to love this, but the tube I got was super thick and really hard to squeeze out. The consistency is nothing like it normally is and my cats won’t come near it. I don’t know if this is a manufacturing or storage issue or if they changed the formula. Just awful.

I hate it when companies change formulas

My cats have enjoyed this hairball laxative for years. But, this last batch was thicker, and the cats immediately turned away. I wish companies would let us know
