There are visible green flakes or something on/in these treats. At first I worried it was mold, but it really appears to be part of the treats. They don't smell rancid and the green flecks are dried. I'm wondering if it's the parsley in it? Just making sure they are safe to give to my dogs.

What is the point of garlic if garlic is bad for dogs?

Answer by ReneeIMar 27, 2020
When used in small amounts, garlic can help support the immune system and liver. It helps the cardiovascular system prevent blood clots, and reduces cholesterol/fat build up in the blood and heart. It also aids in the fight against bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, and increases the rate of killing off parasites. Garlic also helps increase the palatability of products. Just like with humans, many things are healthy (and indeed necessary!) in small doses but potentially harmful in large, concentrated doses.

Not as tasty as before, plus LOTS of broken/pulverized bones

My dogs aren't as enthused by the taste as they used to be. But the bigger problem is how many bones are broken. I don't mean just broken in two, but rather pulverized

My dogs aren't as enthused by the taste as they used to be. But the bigger problem is how many bones are broken. I don't mean just broken in two, but rather pulverized into bits that are not usable. I bought a different flavor from a store and there were only a few broken bones in that bag.

Low purine dog biscuit

This is a repeat order for my Dalmatian dogs. Dalmatians need to eat a low purine diet, and not a lot of commercial biscuits are prepared without trigger ingredients

This is a repeat order for my Dalmatian dogs. Dalmatians need to eat a low purine diet, and not a lot of commercial biscuits are prepared without trigger ingredients. These and OMH Peanuttier bones are safe for my dogs, and will always have a place in the treat jar!

Smell fresh and delicious

My dogs have always loved these. I love that when I open a bag they smell like apples and carrots; just like they’re supposed to! I’ve said to my husband many times

Not for small dogs

I read the description which seemed to imply that these treats were in the smaller side for small dogs. They are not. They are around 3" in size and were very hard

I read the description which seemed to imply that these treats were in the smaller side for small dogs. They are not. They are around 3" in size and were very hard. Our Yorkie would not eat them. Chewy is awesome as always and refunded our money. We gave ours to a new neighbor who has a dog larger than ours and she said her dog loves them. So, just not for a 5lb guy who doesn't want to chewy.
