Disappointed

I bought this Firehouse toy recently and my 7 month old pup ripped open the end stitching the first time I let her have it. It was disappointing.

There are 2 tiny squeakers at each end that are difficult to hit for me let alone my dog. BUT he loves it, it's good for tug when he doesn't want to let go because it slips out of his mouth. Very durable seems like, his evil cousin didn't destroy it. The edges have some of the thread that unravels naturally and just need to clip it so my dog doesn't floss his teeth with it.

I wish two things- 1) that the ends did not start to ravel threads as soon as he played with it and 2) that it had the invincible squeaker other the Outward Hound Invincibles line (larger and still squeaks even if punctured. This has two small squeakers that barely make any sound. It's still a very durable chew toy.

We were a bit disappointed that the fire hose dog toy didn't last more than a couple days. We chose this toy because the material the toy is made of seemed sturdy. Our dog, a 17-lb mini sheep-a-doodle, had the toy damaged within two hours of giving it to him. It ended up in the trash three days later. We understand this is a common behavior with many dogs but thought this would last a little longer.
