These chews are intended for cats only. The "Pet Naturals Calming Dog & Cat Chews" can be used for dogs as well as cats.

These chews are calming chews.

Are these chews soft or hard?

These chews are designed to be soft, however, depending on the weather when arrived, they can become firmer in texture.

Hi. Can this be given one treat in the am and one in the pm before bed?

I recently purchased Pet Naturals Calming Cat Chews for my two cats last year as an alternative calming pet treat. Just like with Veriscience's Composure treats, the treats are a bit too big for them. They're both not too found of the flavor. But when I crumbled it like a supplement powder onto the dry found, Bailey ate a little bit of it, though it didn't keep them calm whatsoever. My best bet is to find a smaller calming treat than this one. (Sorry Chewy.)

Works like a charm!

I give these to my cats during thunderstorms, and sometimes if they are being mean to each other. A little while later, everybody's happy!

My youngest cat can try to pick fights with my oldest cat. Beignet is three and full of energy, while Satchmo is still somewhat playful at 11, and just prefers to relax on the living room ottoman. Benny can be rough with him and that's led to fighting between them. Satch didn't like the treats, but Benny enjoyed them for a while. I've since added more Feliway and I keep an eye on the boys and stop any signs of a fight starting.
