Tried this for my weaning foster babies

Kittens lapped this up! Would mix and pour some in a separate bowl at mealtime with their mushy food and was gone in no time!

I donated this to a rescue who had six newborn kittens with no mom ... they all survived. I donated regular KMR before the weaning food.

Kittens like it.

This comes in 12.5 oz cans which is great when feeding feral cats and kittens. The kittens and cats like it and it works great to lure them into traps for TNR.

Recently we fostered some orphaned kittens (5) and they were still young enough when we got them that they needed milk. After purchasing same product at local pet store and realizing how much they would go through, some quick math showed us that wasn't sustainable! $$$ Started looking for less expensive option and Chewy came to the rescue! Saved us money and we still could give them the nutrition they needed.

The kittens I rescued were bottle fed. When they went to solid food one kept sucking at the back of a sibling ear. I tried rubbing alcohol on her ear hoping the taste would discourage but it didnt. So by mixing this formula with warm water and then adding the Friskies kitten dry food it seems to have cured the needy kitten of its suckling problem. I also have an 18 year old cat named Sally. She is healthy but keeps getting skinny. She licks the juices off the cans of wet food but doesnt eat the meat even though her teeth are good. Well this combination of the KMR 2 and kitten food she loves and is gaining weight.

I love this stuff! Use it for foster 5-10 week old kittens, after they are warned to bridge that shift from bottle (or momma) to canned and kibble food. I mix it with warm water into pate to make a delicious slurry. It always gets devoured. They have that delightful round plump kitten belly after meals, so you know they ate their fill. Full of nutrients growing developing kittens need. And mixing it with pate and warm water to make a slurry ensures they are getting enough moisture in they diet after weaning. All good! Highly recommend!
