Will this fit a double pane sliding door?

While it may be possible for the door to be able to function in the center area between two sliding doors, the door was not designed for this use, so this would not be recommended.

Can this be used in a vinyl sliding door?

It is recommended to use this door with a standard aluminum frame since vinyl can become weaker over time.

Inaccurate description of the Large-tall door coming in one piece. Comes in two pieces, but easy to connect the parts together with a screw driver. Not sure why Chewy has another listing for a two piece of the same door when this one comes in two pieces yet advertised as one. Other info not provided in the description: 1) Door does come with a door cover - pictured, 2) I’ve provided pictures of other measurements that are more accurate than the ones listed as my dogs that are not even 60lbs and barely fit through the door entry and their shoulder-to-floor height is about 21”. They hit the top when they hop through with their back legs; 3) large “tall” means there’s an extra glass window below the door flap. I ended up covering it with a piece of paper (probably going to update it with cardboard) so my dogs wouldn’t think that’s where they nudge to get out and run into it every time - granted, someone else wrote a review with this info and so I knew this going in. I didn’t end up using all of the installation hardware because my complex would fine me if I put holes in the doorway, so I don’t have any information on that aspect. It does slide in and stay put for the most part. I do live up multiple floors up in my building, so I’m not worried about locking my balcony door. Overall, it seems ok. We shall see how it holds up with the door not being one piece and having it connect at a very delicate area.

It says it's renter friendly and you don't have to cut. It's really deceptive. Sure, you don't have to cut anything but you need to drill into the sliding glass door frame. How is that renter friendly? I waited 4 days for this to get here, unpacked the whole thing, started putting it in and reading the directions and guess what, I've got to pack the whole thing back up send it back in and go find some other door that says no cut and no drill. Thanks chewy

The item description states no drilling or permanent changes necessary, but the door cannot be installed properly without drilling. In fact, the instructions tell you you need a 7/64", 9/64", and 1/4" drill bit to properly install. I also recommend 2 rolls of foam weather stripping for each outer edge since youll most likely have a nice big gap on both sides of the door without. The instructions are pretty difficult to follow, with many run on sentences and other text errors. Have fun, after a little customization, it does its job and serves it purpose. Be warned, the "ease of install" is very misleading, but with a little thought, the end product comes out nice

This fit great in my 8’ door opening. The dogs learned quickly how to use it. I wish it was available in other color choices other than white.
