This system is intended as a boundary to keep dogs in your yard.

Can you attach directly to the fence or does it need to be placed under ground?

This inground fence is designed to be buried underground.

Does the receiver need to be plugged in indoors or can it be plugged in outside?

The transmitter should be placed in a dry, well-ventilated, protected area. The area's temperature should not fall below -10°F/-23°Cor above 104°F/40°C (e.g., garage, basement, shed, closet). It is not recommended to place a transmitter outdoors.

Twisted wire cancels out the radio signal and allows your pet to cross without receiving a static stimulation. To cancel the signal in the wire, two pieces of the wire must be twisted together 10-12 times per foot.

After digging 3/4 of the perimeter of our acre yard for 3 days, the fence does not work. We followed the instructions correctly and made sure that we did everything right. It’ll shock our lab in random spots of the yard, and he runs loose in the road and in our neighbors yard every single day. The fence won’t even shock him when he crosses it. This fence was a waste of $200. So DO NOT buy this.

Had slight testing issue. Chewy gave us tel # for petsafe. They too, were terrific. It works! It does take some time to set up if you need to loop based on your yards needs. But,it is amazing. Our 22 lb. Doxador rescue is having the time of his life playing freely in the yard. Wonderful product and support.

I purchased this In-Ground Fence and installed it in one day. I did rent a trencher to make it easier. We have a little over 1/3 of an acre and spliced in the second roll easily to finish the yard after the first roll of wire was finished. The only problem is the amount of shock the fence emits. We had a wireless PetSafe fence that produced a much stronger shock. With the wireless fence when I tested it on level 3 or above I dropped the collar from the shock. With this fence I have it on the highest level there is not a strong shock. We have a 10 pound dog and when she wants she runs right through it. If it does increase the shock level when they are running it does not increase much.

I was surprised with this product for the amount of money I paid for it. easy installation, if you have a big yard like mine which I bought extra wire it can be time consuming, although my puppy did run through the fence which I was not impressed but I just had to up the levels on the monitor to where it beeps a ways before she gets to the fence and shocks her for a ways after she goes through it. she hasn't went through it again, time will tell but she learned fast.
