For over 10 years my veterinarian has recommended the Buddy Bristle Bone for my last three dogs that refused to let me brush their teeth. Even after paying for numerous cleanings over the years, I didn’t order it, thinking the dogs wouldn’t use it. Finally after 2 cleanings and 2 lost teeth in six years I decided to try it for my current dog Buddy, a chihuahua-mix. I was surprised at how reasonably priced it is, and shocked at how much Buddy loves it! He was immediately attracted to it and carried it around in his mouth for the first few days, and eventually figured out how to chew on “cookie” disk. We are on our second package of “cookies” and his teeth and breath are fantastic!

Lou loves this line of treat toys, his favorite is the corn cob. We tried this one and it was a fail. He didn't like the bristles at all, and refused to try to get the rings off. When I took it apart I noticed the bristles are really hard, scratchy, and not at all comfortable for kiddos to have rubbing up against their gums.

Our dog is an aggressive chewer and this worked really well for him and we have purchased it a few times because he really liked it, but the last time he got it apart twice and then ate those treat things whole. We are glad we were there when it happened because he would have chewed and eaten the plastic parts and the bristles. So loved it at first, but no longer feeling it is a safe toy for him

I purchased the correct size for my dog, not from chewy. He is not an aggressive chewer by any means. Hasn't even chewed the squeaker out of a toy ever. But within 10 minutes, Pertsafe"s chew toy had fallen apart and my dog had a mouth full of nylon bristles. This is not an isolated incident. I have read reviews where it happens all the time. Pertsafe would not allow my review on their site. Hopefully chewy does and then stops selling knowingly potential deadly products!

Although the middle section was chewed up more than the outer pieces, this bone held up to my voracious chewer! And the disk treats are hard enough that it takes her a long time to get at them! This is a great investment, and hopefully I can continue to refill this for her to use for a very long time.
