This extra receiver adds another dog to your existing in-ground fence system or works as a replacement for a broken collar. It is compatible with all PetSafe in-ground fences except the YardMax and the UltraSmart fences.

This receiver collar utilizes a replaceable PetSafe battery (RFA-188). Replacement batteries are available through the manufacture.

Can I buy more batteries on Chewy or do I have to go to the Petsafe web

We received the collar on April 29th and because our puppy was still small we waited a week or longer to put the collar on her. After about a week we noticed the battery was loose and we tightened it back up. Approximately 3 weeks later we noticed the battery was completely gone. We ordered more batteries then found the lost one. We replaced the battery in the collar with double sided sticky tape to hold the battery in only to find a few days later that the housing that holds all the wiring completely separated from the mounting plate. It can not be fixed. We have had/ used PetSafe products for over 20 years and have never had problems with their products. Sadly, I must say, stay away from purchasing this product.

Honestly not a significant difference in size from the one that came standard with my in-ground kit, and I initially considered returning the unit due to the price (FYI I have a 13lb terrier mix). The contact points on the collar seem a little less aggressive (more rounded and insulated), and the collar itself is slightly skinnier - but the best feature is the on/off switch. I am hopeful that this will save us money in the end.
