This wire is 20-gauge, solid core copper insulated wire.

can this wire be attached to a woven wire fence to keep my dog from pulling herself over it?

Separate the wire by at least 6 feet from a metallic gate or 3 feet from a metallic fence. When placed too closely to metal, the fence will not work correctly because the metal will alter the signal.

How deep should the wire be buried?

It's recommended to cut a trench 1-3 inches deep along your planned boundary.

I have 2 Great Pyrenees on 2.5 acres who have a goal of expanding their territory and keeping their people and livestock safe. I have a PetSafe electric fence. When it gets broken or critters chew on it I buy more boundary wire. Honestly, I’ve never tried a generic or off brand wire for my PetSafe Stubborn Dog Fence system. My dogs are safe, they stay inside when the automatic gate opens, they don’t jump over or dig under the fence and I won’t mess with a good thing.
