This Safety Seat does not fold for storage.

This will not work with a car that does not have a seatbelt or shoulder straps. To secure this seat pass your vehicle’s seat belt through the slit at one side of the safety seat, through the seat belt tether loop, through the slit on the opposite side of the safety seat, and buckle it.

Can this be used in the front seat?

Looks nice

My puppy can’t sit still so although he is tethered by the hook, every time the car breaks or turns, he falls over. Would be better if he were more secure.

Our pup has always had troubles in the car - just lots of anxiety. He's maybe 25 pounds these days and sits high enough in the seat to easily see out the window. It only takes a minute to pop out and put back in but he is definitely way more secure (and much happier) riding in it.

My dog is about 13 pounds. She has Plenty of room to lay down and put paws on side of basket to look out window. May put a smaller latch that attaches to harness so not as heavy. She is smaller than the weight limit too. The other basket for car we had would tilt down but this sits right on seat. Happy with the purchase and now she’s safe rather than on our laps.

In my experience, PetSafe products have always been extremely reliable. And Chewy is the absolute best! Put the two together and you have a great combination! The frame of this dog safety seat is extremely sturdy when assembled (I know because I had to stand on it to get it snapped together), the instructions are clear, and the cover goes on very nicely with Velcro tabs to keep them from slipping. The cover even has a short zipper that helps with fit and ease of assembly! The seat doesn’t seem level before you put it in the car, which concerned me. But once fastened in the back seat with the seat belt the seat was perfectly level. And BONUS! The height of the seat is perfect for my shorty Jack Russell to see everything that’s going on as we travel. He loves the little bit of extra space he has in this car seat over others since this seat is rectangular instead of square. He’s happy and that makes me happy! Highly recommend this dog safety seat over any of the others I’ve used.
