This is made of a synthetic grass.

I feel the wee enzyme cleaner doesn’t work. Can I sprinkle baking soda on top of the grass then rinse off with cleaner after or will it affect the loo?

I managed a high-end pet boutique outside of Calabasas, CA where celebs would shop and always want shortcut options like this for their assistants... I'm sure it would work just fine with baking soda and a good rinse. Maybe get a tire scrubber from an auto parts store to give a gentle bristle rub with the baking soda to be thorough. Rumors about vinegar having an enzymatic effect may help too, do your research!

My dog won’t go potty when the grass is wet. Could I use these pads without the Loo to take outside and place on top of the wet grass, so she has a dry surface?

I've had customers at the high-end pet shop I managed to do this and it worked just fine. Be gentle cleaning the grass (I use a _soft_ bristle tire brush at any auto parts store to clean mine thoroughly. Don't be too rough and the fawns of grass will stay put.

We love the whole Pet Loo system for our 2 small dogs- we moved from a home with a fenced backyard to a townhome with only an enclosed outdoor deck. In the bitter winter months we did not want to get up early to take the dogs out for a long potty walk when it was -20 degrees! They didn’t want to go out either. We bought the whole Pet Loo system (I bought this additional pad to swap out for cleaning) and the dogs took to it right away! We also found a plastic outdoor end table that has 4 legs that fit perfectly in the 4 corners of the Pet Loo - this way the Loo doesn’t get covered in snow and rain, and the dogs can use it without getting rained on. Now we just open the door and out they go.

We live in a townhouse. Our backyard is a patio with a small dirt flower bed where our pup prefers to "go". I wanted an alternative spot for her on rainy days. I bought this with that purpose in mind. I only own the replacement grass, not the full "potty loo". It has worked like a champ. She uses it with no problem. We keep it outside and it seems to keep up well in AZ heat and temps. Tue combo of UV and natural rain fall seems to clean it fine after occasional use. Some things to note: our pup was already potty-ing on the wood patio where we placed the fake grass. She was also raised to potty on grass. Both of these worked to our advantage. She required no training to start using it as needed.
