The unit really was an OK unit. Our dog did use it while it rained or when he went for a swim in the lake. It does do all three of senses; the beep, the vibration, and the shock If you still wish to do that, my only complaint with the unit is that it seems like the range was not as advertised: 300 yards. Also, with it fully charged, it will last about 5 days, obviously not on continuously, but a reasonable 3-4 hours per day continuously.
