  • High-frequency ultrasonic sound disrupt nuisance barking without a collar.
  • For indoor use only, table-top or hand-held use.
  • Activated automatically by bark or manually by owner with up to a 25-foot range.
  • Works on all dogs within hearing range except for dogs who are deaf or hard of hearing. They won't respond to the ultrasonic tone.
  • Uses a 9-volt alkaline battery (not included), average battery life is 6 months depending on how often the dog barks. Also has a low-battery indicator.

What frequency is the noise?

This indoor bark control uses a 20 kHz frequency. Although the Ultrasonic sound may deter dogs from barking when the sound is activated, it does not cause hearing loss.

Does this harm saltwater aquarium fish next to where it's used?

While PetSafe has only done testing on dogs (and not fish aquariums), we would recommend keeping this device at least 25 feet away from fish.

Can music set off these bark devices

This item should not be set off by music. It is designed to activate only by the frequency of an average dog's bark.

I see that the device emits a frequency of approximately 20 kilohertz. How many decibels?

This product emits an ultrasonic frequency at 120Db at 1 foot from the unit.
