Does this chew actually turn grew when it needs to be replaced like the graphic shows?

This dog chew is available in different colors. The product photo that shows the different levels of wear on the toy, to recommend when replacing is necessary, uses images of the product in the other colors it is available in. This chew stick will not change colors when it is time to replace it.

Is it possible for pieces to come off of this which the dog can swallow?

Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your dog. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your dog safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

Can dogs eat this bone as they chew on it if pieces are small?

This toy is intended as a chew only, is non-edible, and should be removed for safety reasons if excessive consumption occurs or pieces larger than a piece of rice are chewed off.

The medium is approximately 7.5 inches long and 1.25 inches wide.

Not as good as I hoped

I have a 9lb Shih Tzu poodle mix who does like to chew. Thought this might be a good idea. Bought the medium size but he had chewed it and wore an end right down

I have a 9lb Shih Tzu poodle mix who does like to chew. Thought this might be a good idea. Bought the medium size but he had chewed it and wore an end right down within 20 minutes. I would not recommend this though it is a good idea.

This is the second time we've gotten these. The first two lasted at least 6 months!! These are hands down the best chew sticks we've ever found. My dogs (big terriers) are chewers. They can eat anything - even furniture! But these sticks hold their own and last them months!! I will never get anything else! They look like wood, too. The ONLY negative, is that the dogs will sometimes gnaw so much that we have little bits of the dogwood on the carpet that are not pleasant to step on. Lol!! Nothing a quick vacuum can't fix, so it doesn't affect the rating.

I always put my teeth on toys I want her to chew and she mimics me, but this is just a thick piece of hard plastic. I wish I could return it. It’s horrible and not as advertised. It’s not LIKE wood at all.

Even our older lab likes to chew on it. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who has a dog who likes to chew or is a strong chewer.
