This dental treat is suitable for all breed types and can easily break in half for smaller pups. However, it is not recommended for puppies under 6 months or dogs weighing less than 5 pounds.

What is the iodine content of these treats?

Where are these made and where do the ingredients come from.

All ingredients are sourced from the US, except the active ingredient PlaqueOff powder that is an algea harvested outside the Norwegian, Atlantic coast.

Is this a chew that would be good for dogs with sensitive GI systems?

Dried out product

The dental bones were dried out and too hard. Feeding to my dog could damage her teeth.

Ever since my vet recommended dental chews I have been trying various ones on my 9 year old German Shepherd. I only buy those that are VOHC approved. We have a few that are in her rotation, but these did not make the cut. Greenies and Oral Vet are softer, MilkBone and Vetriscience are some of her favorites. But these seem just a little too hard and I'm weary of a tooth breaking. When she eats dog biscuits I hear the crunching, but with these I hear a loud noise of her breaking off a piece... was that a piece or was that a tooth? If she were younger, fine, her teeth would be younger and stronger.

He gets his dental treat, trots to his special snacking spot, dances, shows it off to whomever will admire it, then he rolls onto his back & holds it between his forepaws to admire it for a while, then he rolls back over to eat it tenderly, with his eyes closed in delight. NO KIDDING. We never knew dogs did that. It can't be anthropomorphizing; he loves this dental treat. We consider it his salary for service.

I give my dog one about 3 nights a week as a “special treat,” and he loves them! I feel like ingredients are pretty good compared to others I’ve seen. I do brush his teeth nightly so I’m not sure how much dental care these provide, but I figure it’s a step in the right direction.

I was using Whimzees, Ark Naturals, and Virbac CET chews and my dogs had minimal plaque for many many months. I switched to these chews just for variety and within two months, my dog’s teeth are covered in plaque. I am switching back to my old routine. I found these to be terrible and counter-productive.
