All of the 3 oz. & 5.5 oz. cans are made of aluminum. These aluminum containers have been approved for use in contact with food (meaning human) by the FDA.

Are the trout and catfish wild-caught or pen-raised?

I assumed there might have been a problem with that particular batch and I simply got rid of the food whenever that happened. I mix up the flavors of canned food because who would want to eat the same thing everyday? and too much of the same thing can be bad for them also. They love having trout for a change, i recently read too much seafood might not be great for them. I also feed them the beyond grain free dry formula and they like it too. After all our kitties ancestors are lions and tigers and I've never seen a lion chewing on a blade of wheat while watching the nature shows I've seen. Wheat shouldn't be part of their diet, my girl cat is allergic and I understand why. It's just a filler that probably isn't good for any cat. Thanks beyond for developing healthier cat food products!

Cats develop diabetes so easily if given too much carbs...as a lot of cat food in the past was meat-flovored, carb-loaded. Am so happy to be able to get both dry and canned cat food in grain-free form. Tegra was diagnosed diabetic and nearly died a few years ago. Cats are obligate carnivores; cannot metabolize dense carbs all that well. I read that the most perfect food for a cat is a freshly killed mouse with a belly full of partially digested seeds. Um, am happy to be able to buy grain-free cat chow, both dry and wet forms. Thank-you!

Unfortunately they discontinued the chicken & sweet potato which was our cats' favourite. This is their second favourite, and they like all of them except the turkey
