Does this food contain any GMO's or bioengineered ingredients?

Purina stands behind the safety of GMO ingredients, but they also make sure to provide a wide variety of safe food – some made with GMO and some without – so that every family can feed their pet a diet they believe in. GMOs have passed regulatory approval and have a potential role to play in increasing food production, supporting sustainable agriculture and helping feed a growing world population. We recognize many pet owners are curious or skeptical about pet foods made with GMO ingredients. It is likely that this recipe contains GMO grains because genetically modified grain and grain products, like sugar and corn flour, constitute a significant portion of the supply of grain available throughout the U.S. for both human and pet foods. U.S. grain handling and distribution practices result in a co-mingling of supply, which results in a loss of identity preservation. The FDA recognizes the safety and nutritional equivalence of products derived from U.S.-approved varieties of genetically modified grain, so there is no reason to exclude it from the general supply. The FDA does not require products containing GMO grains to bear additional labeling.

My senior dog has some challenges with her teeth, and we are not able to do much about it because she also has a heart condition. This is a food. I searched high and low for because it is both easy on her teeth and appealing to her. I recommend this to any senior dog parent that is specifically looking for a senior dog food that is not hard for them to chew. This does still have some crunchy kibble, but they are small enough that my dog can manage them. The soft meaty morsels are her favorite by far.

Looked at several different brands of dry dog food and this one stood out because of the ingredients and the price. I wanted to feed my newly adopted senior dog the best quality of food that I could afford with my budget and this product fit the bill. Having her for just a week she is doing well on it and she's starting to develope a sleek and shiney coat. I'd would recommend this food to anyone who has senior dog living in their home.

Since this is our first order of this variety, it is too early to know how it will affect her daily life. She just turned 7 and although I don’t consider her to be an old dog, it is nice to know there is food out there for her particular needs.

We started both our older dogs on this food after battling pancreatitis with other dog foods and probiotics. Within 6 weeks, our very thin coated pittie had a thicker, shinier coat! His fur was bristly and not nice to be against while cuddling. It was also so thin you could see his skin year round- we live in Montana so you can only imagine how cold this poor boy would get in the winter. His fur is SO soft now. They also managed to maintain a healthier weight. When we took Brain and Daisy in for their yearly vaccines, even our vet, who has been Brains vet since he was 6 weeks old, immediately commented on how nice and soft his coat is now. I have also started using the canned food too just to give them a little extra- they are the seniors of the house, they deserve it

My dogs are older and get picky from time to time. I am able to feed this dry food in a variety of ways. Sometimes they like it dry, other times I can add water to soften it, blend it to make a slurry, or mix it with wet food to make a mash. They enjoy it everytime!

Our little dog is about 10 years old and is seeming to really slow down, both physically and mentally. We've always given him Purina One, but discovered this Purina One SmartBlend Vibrant Maturity a few months ago. He absolutely loves it! He's also slimmed down, which is an added bonus because he was getting "plump". Since feeding Pickles this food, he's really perked up, and is more active. We really suggest Vibrant Maturity food for your senior dogs.
