If I understand correctly, you want to switch pup from chicken based ( almost everything seems to have it ) to beef? I would most certainly recommend using Purina Pro plan Beef. I’ll attach a few pictures for your reference. My dog now is Mack, 140 lbs American Bully. He’s not only my best friend but allergic to anything chicken. I’ve spent over a year and spent an incredible amount of money trying every food from Raw , kibble, science diet and cooking myself. Some food that he did like and was appropriate that was comparable to quantity of Pro plan I’m showing you cost almost $200.00 every 5 weeks. I’m retired now and yes, fixed income. I’ve finally , Finally found this affordable and appropriate food he really loves. I hope I’ve helped you Greg

Does the salmon and rice contain chicken now?

Our Rotti/mastiff rescue has been on this food pretty much ever since she came home with us in early 2021. It was the only food she'd keep eating (she'd eat a helping or two of another brand, but would always end up leaving it alone and not eating). Her coat always appears health, her skin (for the most part) is not dry (she will have periods of dryness, but that is most likely climate related).

Our golden poodle loves this version of the Purina Pro Shredded blend. She has sensitive stomach (like most dogs do), switching to this food did not upset her digestive system. She actively is looking for food at her meal time. So far she has not gained any weight and very playful after having her meal.

Transitioning my girl from homemade food to store bought. Getting too old to make 50lbs of labor intensive food a month. Making smaller portions now to use for a topper. I'm so pleased that my girl likes this food because I feel guilty for switching her away from home made but, truth be told, she was never too crazy about the homemade food because of the veggies that I had to find ways to cut small and hide. She's made it through the transition just fine with no upsets and she seems to really enjoy the Purina!!

This comes in a large 47 lb bag which I loved from our Great Dane but this food doesn't love him. He cant eat it without getting stomach issues and servere diarrhea. It took me months to figure out it was the food, because I was mixing 3 different pro plan formulas. Thankfully we found the high protein and that doesn't upset his stomach.

Joey likes beef. due to possible food allergy I tried Pro Plan Salmon, chicken, and lamb. he refused the lamb. He started to sniff the food and if he didn't like the smell he would not eat Vet is leaning towards a grass weed allergy. Hopefully it not beef that he is allergic to.
