With dry food, I know changing has to be gradual. Do you have to do the same with wet food?

Ideally, it is recommended to have a transition period when switching from one recipe to another. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more of the new food until you’re feeding the new food exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid unnecessary stomach upsets or dietary problems.

What is the Kcal per can for this flavor? Odd it's the only one I've seen so far without it. Counting Calories here. Thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little Belle can be a picky eater. She ate this with no problem and seemed to like it. However, when I compare it to the food I am currently feeding her, it comes up a little short as far as visually appealing. The "chicken" is pressed and dark brown. Her current food (Stella & Chewy's Wild Red) chicken looks just like pieces of chicken we eat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a picky eater, she often sniffs food and walks away, or she will eat it one day, and not the next. I tried the Chicken & Vegetables Entree can as her full meal, the first day she loved the smell and quickly started licking the gravy. She gobbled up the whole serving. She continues to love it every day so far. The slices, sauce, and smell seem very palatable. I will continue to buy cans, as I do like that the first ingredients are real meat, however, they do list meat-by-products just a few ingredients down on the list. That's a but vague, and do your own research on the ingredients, but I will at least use this as a topper since she does love it. So far, pretty good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4-year-old Great Pyrenees mix loves Purina’s Pro Plan Complete Essentials Chicken and Vegetables Entrée. He doesn’t finish until the dish is lick-cleaned. It’s gravy (the main ingredient is water – I’m big on ingredients) with chicken, liver, turkey, carrots, potatoes, and green beans. It is high in protein (9%), contains beneficial minerals and vitamins, and meets the nutritional profiles established by AAFCO for maintenance of adult dogs. I would note two considerations that might or might not influence your decision to try Chicken and Vegetables Entree. The first is it contains meat-by-products. While a safe source of protein and healthy fats, some dog parents prefer food without it. The second is wheat-gluten. Not inherently harmful to dogs while providing a concentrated source of protein, it can pose risks for those with specific allergies or sensitivities. If no concerns, I would recommend trying Complete Essentials. My canine kid loves the taste and consistency (as does his feline brother) and it’s a great source of nutrition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purina isn’t usually a brand I reach for, but the girls sure loved this! Real carrots and potatoes you can see, lots of shreds of meat and tasty gravy! Plus no legumes! Some of the pieces are quite large and others very small, I tore up the larger pieces for my Chihuahua as she couldn’t chew them. But overall, all three of the dogs chowed down on this food.

Decent wet food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog took to this right away, and ate the whole first can in a flash. I just fed her one can a day with breakfast alongside her normal food. Gradually she was less excited about it and didn't eat all of it at once. I think it will work for most dogs but my picky eater turned off it. I will try it with her again, as she has moods about food. I had to add a little water to each can to loosen it up for her.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My picky medium sized girl loves it. She’s been eating another brand for years, but tried Purina and loves it so much more. Makes me happy knowing Purina brand is nutritious and she (and my cats) love the food. I’ve changed Oakley over to Purina from now on. Thank you so much. Animals are happy, I’m happy.

Love it as a topper to dry kibble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs all enjoy the Pro Plan Savor products (dry and canned). They particularly like the "stew"-like consistency of this wet food, as I use it as a topper on their dry food at meal times. This canned food has really big chunks of chicken in addition to gravy, which makes it easy to stir into the dry kibble to give them all that extra pizazz at mealtime. Big fans.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This canned food has a rich gravy with lots of meaty chunks as well as identifiable vegetables. It’s highly palatable and all 3 dogs loved it. It would be great mixed with kibble for dogs who a picky or ill. The only drawback was one of our dogs has a sensitive stomach and it caused mild stomach upset.
