What are the meat by products made up of?

Meat by-products consist of non-rendered, clean internal organ meats (usually cattle and swine). It does not contain hair, hoof, horn, hide trimmings, manure, or stomach contents except in trace amounts as may unavoidably occur even with good factory practice. (includes, but is not limited to, lungs, spleen, kidneys, & livers.)

Is the chicken spinach version gluten/wheat free?

Purina's steel cans have a protective lining that contains very low levels of BPA that are below all state and federal recommended levels and are considered safe for food contact.

What cat age is this suitable for? Ok for kitten?

Lila only likes pates (she just licks the gravy off the others). I only like 5.5 oz cans. I also prefer giving her protein sources as close to what she would eat in nature. Fish, poultry. Preferably no beef (what domesticated cat has taken down a cow!?). Thankfully after Purina Pro Plan discontinued the turkey pate I was able to find this option in 5.5 oz cans. And my not very food motivated cat likes it too!! I think she likes it even more than the turkey! I give her either this one or the Salmon and Brown rice so she has some variety. I sure hope Purina doesn’t stop making this in the 5.5oz cans as not much is available in that size these days.

They have expensive taste but i give them pro plan dry food 2x per day and they split one large can or get 1 small can each depending on if they seem hungry. I add water to their canned food too. Its extra "gravy" to them and gets all the juice out of the can. They only like the pate as well. No gravy flavors are acceptable.

Our vet recommended Purina. I was already feeding my Georgia (Brown tabby girl) DM prescription diet. Now my other two have tried Pro Plan through a formula appropriate for their needs. Even my fussy gentleman agrees this food rocks, and cleaned his plate. it also passed the OneLabel App Test. After scanning the bar code, the App considers it a healthy food with few unhealthful additives (the exception being copper sulphate to add color to appeal to people). The last word goes to the babies," We salute and toast Purina, and we all are very pleased to give it our seal of approval."

Trying to find a wet food that both of my cats will eat was a venture in trial and error. They both like it!! Especially hard for Shadow to find something he liked

Trying to find a wet food that both of my cats will eat was a venture in trial and error. They both like it!! Especially hard for Shadow to find something he liked and not get tired of. There is a good amount of gravy in each can so that is a plus. They both like to lick up the gravy. I have been purchasing this food for several months now.

My cat really seems to like this flavor in the Pro Plan lineup, after apparently tiring of the Friskies Chicken with Garden Greens canned food. An earlier order of the larger cans was disappointing, however, as my cat did not always want to eat. I think the larger cans do not always seal perfectly, as sometimes one can see a dark edge where the outside of the can contacts the food. The small cans, though more expensive, have proven more consistent and are probably the way to go for one cat, anyway...
