I personally love Purina Proplan products and have always had great luck with them. After adopting a new rescue pup with a very sensitive stomach, switching to this food was a game changer. Before my pup was super itchy and having lots of loose stools, and after switching her to this food most of that has resolved and she is able to be a happier and healthier pup.

We used this hoping it would help solidify our GP puppy’s GI issues. It was quite pricey and has a very pungent smell. It also made his poop VERY stinky. We changed his food to hills prescription z/d and that all went away, eased back into this, and the loose stool and stink came back. We’re now on taste of the wild high prairie large breed puppy

We switched off this food simply because it's so expensive for how little you get. But we are back. After almost two months of loose stool between two dogs, we jumped back to this and everything is back to normal. Safe to say we will probably stay on this for as long as we can afford to. Just wish they provided bigger bags.

Second bag purchased from Chewy on September. Puppy had loose stools that turned liquid. Tried bland diet and stools went back to normal. Reintroduced the food again, back to diarrhea that turned into explosive diarrhea and even vomiting. Puppy went to vet to rule out illness or foreign body. Nothing was evident. As soon as the food was reintroduced after second round of bland diet I knew it had to be the food. I have since switched brands completely and his stools are now back to normal. I used to love ProPlan, but not chancing it with my fur baby anymore.

Our Great Pyrenees puppy is such a picky eater, and we went through several before finding this one. Our Pyr is allergic to chicken, and trying to find a kibble for large breed puppies with optimal calcium phosphorus levels is such a challenge. I spent hours looking into various kibbles and this is the best you can find for a grain inclusive puppy food for large breed dogs that have chicken allergies or sensitive tummies. Highly recommend this food!

Something changed with this food

I've been feeding my 15 month old great dane this food since he was around 10 or 12 weeks old. It has been fine for a while, but a couple months ago he had a couple random vomits and when I took him to the vet and did a blood test they found increased pancreatic values but he was otherwise okay. We didn't have a reason to doubt the food yet so we just did a wait and watch. Well this past month, he has been turning his nose up at the food and no longer eating as soon as he is fed. He would need to be coaxed into eating. Yesterday, he ate all of his food at each of his 3 mealtimes. Then he woke up vomiting this morning and vomited several times. I was just talking to my coworker in another state who has been having similar issues with her dog except she is sicker and more frequently. She mentioned what her dog was eating and it is the same food, except not the puppy formula. Very strange coincidence. Too much of a coincidence. Then we started asking around through our various friends and found others whose dogs have not been wanting to eat their food and have been vomiting on and off and they are all eating some version of the PPP sensitive stomach and skin salmon formula. That is too many coincidences for me. So then I did an internet search and found where a bunch of people were talking about this formula causing pancreatitis. A little too similar with my boy. I am done with this food. I feel awful if I have been slowly making my dog sick. Darned if you do and darned if you don't, I guess. Something definitely changed with PPP.
