We have four cats and they are not tolerating this version of the “same food” nearly as well as the old recipe. The old recipe contained shredded Turkey, puffed up kibbles that appeared to be the dehydrated version of a real meat source and the kibbles were different colors (some were dark brown). I would not buy this again for the price. I see no difference between what they are selling in this bag compared to Purina One. Very unhappy that they messed with the ingredients and kept all the labels the same.

My cats usually dig into a fresh opened bag but this time they didn't eat anything so I assumed it must be bad but after a few days they started eating it. I am assuming the fresh factory smell just needed to dissipate. Switched flavor to Pro Plan Essentials Chicken Rice and all the cats are eating it. thank you Chewy

To me it was just cat food. My cat wasn’t thrilled, but she hasn’t met a food or treat she really likes anyway,so. I was just hoping it would help with the hairball clingons so she wouldn’t carry them around the house and drop them indiscriminately surprising the unsuspecting sleepwalker.

He likes the brand at large. However, his stool becomes incredibly dry. We also feed him wet food with added water twice daily. He’s also on veterinary recommended laxatives. For older kitties I think this would be a huge benefit and sell very well because a lot of cats suffer from dry stool as they get older. The petroleum laxatives are not taken well by most cats. A natural laxative/stool softener would be very helpful and much better for the health of the cats.

Good for fewer hairballs

I like this dry catfood for helping prevent hairballs. Less throw up with this food. It's really helping.

It seems the shreded turkey was taken out. I gave it a four because of that. The cats seem to be liking it. So no problem. We are constantly refilling their food

I can't say that it has helped with hairballs at all yet, because we have only been using it for about a week and a half, but all three cats seem to like it. I mixed it with their current dry food and it gets gobbled up pretty quickly by all three. The bits are small. I wish it were chicken-free, but there is some chicken meal in the ingredient listing.

I have two very fluffy cats and this food is the only one I have found to truly keep their hairballs under control. The moment I try changing their food to a lesser quality one they start throwing up a lot. So if you need true hairball control this will do the trick.
