There's something similar to this formula for younger dogs? My year old dog, who is on the pro plan formula with the shredded bits, likes his senior friend's Bright Minds food better than he likes his own.

It’s probably fine to feed this food to your year old dog as it has ample protein and fat. Purina makes so many great formulas! But please check with your vet to be sure this would be Ok.

Our almost 14 year old dog started being restless and waking us up to go outside 3-5 times/night. She would potty, but also wander around the yard. It was exhausting and we started thinking we would have to leave her outside for us to get any rest. I decided to try this food since other reviews showed that it could help. I wasn't sure, but it was worth a try. We've had her on this for 8 days (transitioning from her previous food). It's been a miracle! Complete game changer. She has NOT woken us up at all for the past 3 nights. Not restless and sleeping soundly. Also seems to have more mental clarity during the day. I highly recommend this as it has definitely changed our life. WE also buy the wet/canned formula and mix a little in with her dry. Also she LOVES LOVES LOVES this food. Gobbles it up and is excited for her meals. Seems easy for her to eat and digest..... Highly Highly recommend!!!!

My black lab golden retriever mix is 15 1/2 years old. He has been eating this food for the last few years and has done well on it and enjoyed it. However, the last bag I recently got has lost his interest. Each day he showed less interest in eating it and I would really have to doctor it up with other things for him to eat any of it. This morning he flat out refused to eat it until offered him some of my other dogs food of a different kind of pro plan and he gobbled that right up. I don’t know if Purina changed the formula on this, but I will be looking for a new food for him.

I was enjoying feeding this to my dog, she loved it and it was great for her, loved how it made her energetic. However the past few bags she won’t touch it, I have to cook other things to top it. It’s too expensive to keep throwing out and am worried she is not getting the right nutrition. please provide feedback to Purina, I was told by the vet to change to Purina, now I don’t know what to pick

My dog is getting up there in age (currently 9), and when my vet asked during our check up what we fed her, I mentioned this food. The vet said that this is the food that is recommended to all senior dogs to help stave off cognitive decline as much as possible! Please note that the fat content of this dog food is higher than others, so it appears it did increase my dog's cholesterol.

We bought the large breed version of this years ago for our older dog who was 10 years old. He loved the food, we noticed he was back to his "normal" self full of energy, & it was perfect since the food was big for large breed dogs. They have discontinued the large breed so we figured we would give this a try. My dog eats the formula just fine! But we have seen an increase in soft stool/diarrhea and blood in her stool. Unfortunately, we will be switching back to our old food instead of using the bright mind.

Thank you for the very quick response to my mom's note regarding the dogfood bag bursting open and spill in the damaged cardboard box! She tried to catch you to say we "rescued" most of the food and wouldn't need another one! You had immediately sent another large bag so now that is in "storage" until needed. You folks are the best but she feels guilty that you didn't charge for the replacement! That was very kind of you. TY so very much, Luv n' Lix, Raleigh & Ginger
