We just started it this week. Without chewys deal, I wouldn't be trying it because it is a bit pricey. When I was a child, my gma loved Purina. She would tell me they had good pet food. Now that I am older, I can still hear her saying that. She had shepherds.

Please be advised, our Jennie is no longer with us. She lived almost 15 years, and passed on Feb 27th of this year, and is now waiting on Rainbow Bridge. We miss her so much. However, we now have “Misty,” whom we adore. She’s not a replacement, instead, a new addition to our family. Jennie is irreplaceable.

Breeder recommended and vet approved

This is the food that the breeder fed our dog. At the first vet visit, the vet confirmed that it is a high quality, nutritious food. So I will stick with it.

Purina ProPlan has been a quality product for all of my dogs. When the vet recommended a change for Lamb and Rice, there was no question about which product line to get. Ruger loves the new kibble. Thanks, Chewy for providing a quality assortment of a great Purina dog food.

I’m not sure about this ( my dog isn’t sure about it I meant ) I thought at first she would gobble this up but she ate it first 2-3 days then lost interest. Maggie came to me w stomach issues & prescyption food - she was surrendered after her owner got cancer & was regurgitating her food 2-3 x a day . It was luckily a problem that stopped completely when I adopted her ( within 2 weeks of fostering her ) she is the smartest dog I’ve ever had ( a trained trick dog w advanced titles ) so somehow she knew this was home for good within the first week and the regurgitating her food stopped , the buying of a prescription food stopped , bc it was apparent It was due to stress , obviously of losing her mom & being surrendered- she knew she was home here the first day ( I believe ) So it’s been almost a year of trying different purina pro plan foods ( my vet is a fan of purina pro plan & I am a fan of my vet so I buy the foods she recommends ( lol) Scooter gas been on the chicken rice pro plan for years ! - Maggie itches if she eats chicken so we decided salmon would be best for her. I have a grand dog that’s on the salmon so I’ve tried the periodic pro plant all the salmon except for this one- so I decided to try it and see if it’ll work. I also tried the special dog food. That’s the hydrolyzed protein so she’s having a mixture of both the hydrolyzed protein Purina, and this together she prefers the hydrolyzed protein this chicken flavored, so that may be why she eats it (?) In other words, I’m not sure if this food is gonna be a keeper ir if I’ll order it again , so far she’s not showing a lot of interest in it. I’ll probably continue to order the other kind of pro plan and probably use the rest of this up at first, I thought she seemed to love it, but I think she does that with any kind of new food because it’s something different . I gave it four stars because of the fact it’s really it implies by the cover that’s for sport dogs or athletic dogs. I think that’s little bit confusing and I wish they would make that a little clearer ( Purina not Chewy of course )because I was really reticent to buy this becauseof the cover for Maggie even though she’s a trick dog and she’s active she’s not a “ sport “ dog (?) I don’t know what the 30/20 means in the food (?) I guess it’s high protein (?) So the jury still out on whether or not I’ll re order this exact food . I most likely would go back to this regular salmon pro plan. Just look at her grin and tell me you wouldn’t do anything to make this doll happy? Lol
