Answer by Chewy • Aug 01, 2025
All Royal Canin formulas sold in the US are made in their facilities located in Lebanon,TN, Fremont, NE, North Sioux City, SD or Guelph, ON. All of their ingredients are sourced as close to Royal Canin factories as possible but if they are of higher quality, they will be sourced out. If an ingredient does not pass our quality and food safety testing this can cause a change in source for many ingredients. Due to this, we are unable to provide the level of detail to determine which, if any, ingredients are sourced from other countries.

Royal Canin is one of the few brands that you know does actual clinical trials for their food so I trust the brand. Also the weight care kibble in particular was the lowest calorie dense food I found on the market. It has the lowest calories per gram which is very useful for a dog that likes to eat a lot but needs to lose the weight. You can effectively feed them more food while they lose weight. Using this food and counting calories, I was able to drop like 20lbs off my dog in a short time (medical necessity). Would recommend for anyone needing to drop weight off a dog who is always hungry.

Looking for refund. Just found out my Matthew has Addison's. So, even if my Matthew would eat it, it has all the wrong ingredients for him with Addison's.
