I filled this up with bone broth and my dog was immediately interested and enjoyed it. However, it served about a 5 minute span before she had already emptied it. Unless the ball was unscrewed to its loosest setting, it was nearly impossible for the ball to roll in place, at which point my dog just wanted to flip it over. I would pay more for a larger scale one of these that’s weighted and had a larger capacity to serve larger dogs. I think if you have a small dog this would be a better purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping this would be a good idea for my 6-year-old Lab, Mailee, to suppress some of her boredom. Unfortunately, the ball wouldn't move at all when she licked it, so when she couldn't get any of the tasty broth I had put in it, she abandoned it altogether. I tried several times to readjust how I screwed the cup on, but even when I tried to move the ball myself, it was way too tight and wouldn’t allow any liquid to dispense over the ball. I have to give this a 1 star because it just wasn't at all productive to achieve what I wanted for her.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great idea, unfortunately, my dog is completely disinterested. I found it a little difficult to get the ball to roll, which makes it work. So I'm not sure if my small boy just doesn't have the tongue strength for it or if he doesn't understand. I thought I might have had the back screwed on too tight, so tried to loosen it but it felt like I got it as loose as possible before it would come apart completely. Pictures of the assembly..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our standard poodle girl has separation anxiety. We were leaving to go to town an buy groceries so I put plain yogurt with just a touch of beef better than bouillon in this wonderous contraption and the neighbors let me know that she didn't howl like she usually does the first 15 minutes we were gone. Works like a charm and I highly recommend. To be honest, I was skeptical and pleasantly surprised when it worked to keep her calm.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The trainer always says that naughty pups are really just bored pups, and we’ve found that to be true. We got our elderly mom a companion—a sweet little mini-poodle rescue—and when he gets bored, he definitely finds trouble. This soothing saucer has been a lifesaver. It helps Lil’ Bear stay occupied when Mom has to step out for doctor appointments. The licking seems to calm his separation anxiety, and he actually looks forward to going into his kennel for a couple of hours. No more howling, scratching, or chewing up his bed. When Mom gets home, he greets her with a kiss and then trots right back for a few more licks. Lil’ Bear is about a year old and was rescued from a home that loved him but couldn’t care for him properly. Now he’s living his best life, and this little device has helped him adjust beautifully.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty neat little toy. Easy to disassemble, fill, and put together again. Does as advertised. I tried it with chicken broth and it worked nicely. Had to show my dog how to roll it a couple times but he caught on really quick and enjoyed it for a good long while. Liked that there was a QR code on the packaging to show how to use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog recently lost his dog companion and has been really struggling with boredom and anxiety. He was constantly licking his paws out of stress and I have had a hard time finding something to distract him. I was very surprised how long this product kept him occupied. There was barely any mess and he was able to lick without redirecting to his paws. I would definitely recommended this for nervous and excessive lickers. You can also purchase different “soothing sauces” from the company to use in the saucer to change up the flavor profile.

Fun for some but not for us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had hoped this would be a fun toy for my little dog as she usually loves licking things (me) and has some anxiety

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had hoped this would be a fun toy for my little dog as she usually loves licking things (me) and has some anxiety from loud noises. She understood the assignment of the toy but unfortunately wasn’t super interested in it after about a minute, despite the fact that I know she likes the broth that was put into it. The toy itself seems very well made, and for another dog I think this would be great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little disappointed that it didn’t come with anything to full the dispencer. Would have liked at least one packet of liquid to try. I used some peanut butter since my dog loves it. She totally enjoyed it. I had to roll the center ball to coat it first as she had a hard time getting it to roll around. She does not do well with thunder and fireworks, so I’m hoping to try this then and hoping it helps to calm her.
