Does the food contain synthetic vitamins and minerals?

Answer by ChewyJan 16, 2025
Stella & Chewy products are formulated with both natural and synthetic supplements depending on which form is most efficacious for their products. There are many benefits to synthetic vitamins over natural, such as less chance for cross-contamination, longer nutritional viability, and the ability to use smaller quantities due to them being more concentrated.

Fussy eater no more

Molly wouldn't eat any food I gave her after the first time. Finally, she loves this food. And I can give her the nutrition she needs!

I have tried every dog food that had the highest grade of ingredients. None worked, my two Chihuahua pups turned their tiny noses up and would rather starve then eat any of them. I finally went to AI as a last resort and it suggested Stella and Chewy freeze dried. I remembered I had given this to my elderly pups until they went to the Rainbow bridge. So, I purchased a small bag just to see if they would eat it cause I was skeptical. We had tried another brand of freeze dried food before and had to give it away, turned up noses! Low and behold they loved it. It has been 3 weeks now and they still love it. I thank God for this miracle and now I give them two pucks in the morning and two at night. They think it is treats! The fact the ingredients are really good for them and it is so easy to feed just put down the food and they go for it. No mess no fuss. We have plenty of water avaliable and leave the broken pieces in a dish by the water. I am so happy I did the Snoppy happy dance!! Now I have it on auto buy each month. Price? A little expensive, but compared to all the many other foods I have tried and failed, for us, the price is not an issue. Just to compare, I had Dr. Marty's side by side and they chose Stella and Chewy.

My Havachon puppy goes crazy hopping and spinning every time I open the package to feed her a meal patty. She is 9 months old and has never been a good eater. Due to the cost of the food, I give her half kibble and half meal patties. She cleans her bowl at every meal. So, puppy approved! It is quite pricy but I think it's worth it

WAY too expensive to feed large dogs as a diet, but ok to entice a recovering dog to eat their regular diet for a short period. In addition, I prefer to use a kibble that has been test fed over multiple generations for optimum nutrition for the breed. So, I consider this a 'seasoning' for other food. Used that way, my dogs give it a two paws up.
