This food has a carbohydrate content of 1.25% on an as-fed basis, 1.32% on a dry matter basis, and 0.6 grams per cup.

This brand's raw frozen and freeze-dried meal mixers and patties are designed to be complete and balanced for all life stages—the only exception would be the Salmon and Cod Meal Mixers as these are meant as a treat or topper only at this time. Otherwise, they do meet AAFCO standards for complete and balanced nutrition across all life stages. Puppies require more food than adult dogs of the same weight when provided as a complete and balanced meal.

Otherwise, they do meet AAFCO standards for complete and balanced nutrition across all life stages. However, please know that puppies do need more food than adults at the same weight if being fed to a puppy as a complete and balanced meal.

Can these be kept in the refrigerator after putting water on them if they don't eat it all?

Once the food is re-hydrated, it should be treated as “raw”, and can only stay out for (up to) 2 hours before discarding. If the food has been out for 2 hours, it should not be refrigerated at that point, just discarded. If the pet does not consume everything at once, it can be picked up (immediately) and refrigerated. Frozen raw, and rehydrated freeze-dried raw will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

I have five big dogs, and they are never consistent with their food. They start turning their nose up and me and getting bored. This stuff is wonderful. I can take a few pieces for each of them and sprinkle on whatever they are having, and they will eat it. It’s worth every penny! Unfortunately I have five big dogs so it’s a little pricy for us in big quantities, but I buy them as often as I can afford them. I wish I could afford to feed them all of their products everyday! Not having the stress at meal time of constantly trying to satisfy 5 individual, bored dog’s pallet is such a blessing.

My dog, who can’t eat anything hard because of cancer in her mouth, likes the taste. But, unlike the seafood based meal toppers, these do not easily turn to mush in water. If I want to use it, I have to soak in water and leave overnight, and even after that it still doesn’t mash easily with a fork. I realize that my dog has a special need, but I was surprised by the fact that I could not easily turn it to mush like some of the other Stella and Chewy raw toppers. For that reason I won’t buy again. I will continue to buy the Stella and Chewy’s cod (sans salmon?) freeze dried raw toppers because those can be easily turned to much.

My dogs are addictive to these. I actually use them as treats and are great for training because they are a high value treat. My one dogs gets so excited for these

I attend many events where I sell my handmade leashes and collars and always keep Stella‘s at the register as a treat for the dogs that visit our space. It is such a well-made product That we feel great about giving to dogs. It is easily smooshed on food and dogs with more sensitive teeth, or who are older who can’t chew through harder treats, can easily eat these.

For my 7 year-old goldendoodle, I mix this with kibble. For my 14 year old Chiweenie, I mix it with his canned food along with their supplements. I have been struggling, trying to find something for them to eat and they love this.
