Is it stackable?

If the lids are closed, they are stackable.

1) If storing dry dog food, how often is it recommended to wash the container? 2) Is there another recommended cleaning method if dish soap and warm water are ineffective?

It is recommended to keep the dry dog food inside its original bag inside the container. Soap and warm water are fine when cleaning the container out. Let it air dry. Be careful not to soak the white rubber seal under the lid.

Good solid container, snap lid fits tight but opens easy. Holds the bag of food as expected.. Bought it along with a bigger one for the bigger pet foods, but due to the size difference, they don't stack. (Same sized bins would stack) Slide in and out of the closet nicely when needed.

It was on sale, so also a decent price. Until such time companies upsize their resealable bags of food, this will serve us well.

These containers can be used for storage of anything. The attached lid has a great seal and front latch. I got these containers to replace the Van Ness containers that I have been using for many years. I am so glad to have found these. I use one for dry cat food and one for dry dog food. I use 2-gallon size reclosable, bags in the containers to save myself washing out the containers between new bags of food. I change the bags every couple bags of dry food. I know the bags are not what is being reviewed but, they are a suggestion for busy pet parents!
