We purchased this cat litter box several years ago for our Senior cat. Recently we adopted 2 more kittens and we decided to order the same model of litter box and lid. We were very disappointed to discover that the pan is so thin and flimsy. Also the top doesn’t snap in place. Very discouraging!

Steadily decreasing quality gives them a one year lifespan
Just ordered four more, because they only last a year here. The parts have become thinner, such that I can't pick up an empty bottom with one hand without it
Just ordered four more, because they only last a year here. The parts have become thinner, such that I can't pick up an empty bottom with one hand without it collapsing and creasing under its own vanishing weight. There's no way I can pick up a full, assembled box by the handle, because the latches no longer work. And now, after a year of working the litter and cleaning the boxes, the interior of the bottom is de-laminating and shedding strips of plastic into the litter. These used to be fantastic, but they have taken cost out to the point of failure in my hands. I bought more because one of my cats is battling FIP, and I don't want to do anything to disturb him in his desparate bid to live.

These litter boxes were my favorite for a long time.... The quality is great. They last forever and clean up really well when you do your full box changes. There's a ton of positive things to say about them, from how much my cats enjoy the privacy hood and how easy they are to enter. I appreciate that I've never broken through the plastic (unlike other boxes). But... I have boy kitties. Bigger boy kitties who urinate against the back wall of the litter box... And because of the way the bottom tray is cut where the top connects at the rear wall, I have pee lines on my wall behind the box and a puddle of dry urine sandwiched between the top and bottom pieces every day. I've tried box liners and duct tape and all manner of "fixes" but the urine still escapes. I have bought these boxes over and over for years now for their durability and ease of cleaning, my cats prefer them to other designs... And with my smaller cats in the past, it wasn't a problem.... But be prepared for leakage at the rear seam if you have big boys like my current kitties

When it's time for cleaning is easy to remove the top. My only little complaint is that the odor filter doesn't work. When is poop time the smell stands. The price is good!

Use this? those top entry litter boxes are ridiculous and the automatic boxes are dangerous.

The little plastic doors fell off almost immediately which was unfortunate because I wanted it completely enclosed to help with smells. I’m now looking to upgrade to better boxes so if you want some that will last more than a few years I’d suggest something else. Overall they’re decent just a pain to clean and the doors fall off far too easy.
