The Small has a capacity of 2 cups and the Large has a capacity of 6 cups.

The size is perfect for my small dogs and cats too. I also appreciate the lip/handle on each side that makes it easy to pickup with one hand. I only wish it came in extra colors, but for the price, blue works just fine for me!
