Literally, un-stinking. My boy had horrendous breath. My fault - I fully accept that and feel horribly about it. I relied on chews and treats that, supposedly, would keep his teeth clean, but they didn't. He's almost 13 now, has major plaque and tartar buildup, and a couple of months ago, his mouth had a horrible stench. Last year's annual checkup is when the vet told me that extraction could cost upwards of $6K, and that he could potentially be at major risk from the anesthesia. I started brushing his teeth more regularly with a different enzymatic toothpaste and giving him drops of another enzymatic gel daily, but he absolutely hated the taste. THIS stuff. We started using this around a month or so ago. The stench went away (not entirely) within a week. It's mostly gone, but he still has occasional morning breath. The hardened plaque is disappearing. This stuff is absolutely incredible. A major plus is that he doesn't seem to mind the taste of it. He doesn't fight me when I apply it, nor does he do the head shake he used to with the other gel. I highly recommend this, preferably before any serious problems, but also if you're in a similar boat as we were.

Dog likes the taste. This makes training to enjoy having her teeth brushed much easier! Starting as a puppy so can't confirm if removes plack overtime.

This toothpaste contains *Eucalyptus oil, which is “highly toxic to dogs.” Even a small amount can cause drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, and other serious symptoms. Dogs’ bodies are far more sensitive to essential oils than humans. If you have a dog, do not use this toothpaste under any circumstances. It is puzzling why a toxic ingredient for dogs would be included in a dog product. For the safety of your pet, I strongly advise avoiding this toothpaste.

Annie Belle is a senior, but she has never been interested in chew toys her whole life. Chew toys help most dogs to prevent gum disease because of the chewing, especially the Kong tough chew toys. Vet's Best Enzymatic Dog Toothpaste (gel) is applied to Annie's gums every night before her bedtime after she drinks some water. Allow the product to work during sleep time.
