These grooming clippers do not have a brushless motor.

These clippers are compatible with all Wahl Ultimate Competition Series Blades and all Wahl Competition Series Blades. They are also compatible with most Oster and Andis detachable-style blades.

These clippers were dropped / kicked off the table and kept working (did have to replace the damaged blade). Only con: The wire is bulky and twists all over the place. Would like to see these as a rechargeable cordless ........that would be awesome ! Still .... I highly recommend.
