This recipe is made in Canada. Wellness ingredients are primarily sourced from North America. While there are many high-quality ingredients available in the U.S., in some cases there is not a readily available U.S. supply, so they are sourced internationally from New Zealand, Australia, Italy, and Chile respectively.

Tried this for my allergy-prone boy, but it didn't seem to agree with his system. Having to use a can opener is messy and takes longer than a quick pull tab. Dog food doesn't smell great, but the whitefish smells very bad, and the house stinks when they eat their kongs or meals. I appreciate the concept of single protein and only water for processing, I wish this had worked for my dog.

I have a 15 year old German Shepherd. She is allergic to just about everything (I'm not kidding). This is one of three kinds of food that she can eat and she loves it. Yes, sometimes there are tiny pieces of fish bones in it, but they are very small white specs and don't seem to hurt the dog in any way. They probably add extra nutrients. I have been feeding here this Wellness 95% whitefish for 10+ years. She likes it and it is very healthy for her and my Vet said probably one of the reasons she is still alive at age 15.
