Wellness Core is made in the US. The ingredients are primarily sourced from N. America. All ingredient suppliers, whether domestic or international, need to meet certified nutrient levels and be manufactured in quality audited facilities. Venison, Lamb, Rabbit and Salmon Meal sourced from New Zealand, Australia, Italy and Chile. A small portion of the mixed tocopherols and green tea extract are sourced from China. These ingredients are part of the natural preservative in the food and are less than 1% of total ingredients. Each ingredient is fully tested and inspected for quality and safety before it goes into any of the diets.  

Does this have iodine?

This formula has an iodine content of 1.92% on an as-fed basis (2.09% on a dry matter basis).

We have two dogs - one is an 86lb lab mix, and the other is a 39lb husky. When we graduated the husky from puppy food to adult food, she loved her sister's food (the large breed version of this product) so we were feeding her that, but we noticed that she would eat it without properly crunching it up and then puke it up about 25% of the time (the kibble was always whole when she brought it back up). We were stumped. We took her to the vet and explained how we feed our dogs (they always get some bone broth with the kibble as well as cooked chicken breast and/or some freeze dried beef toppers). The vet examined her and confirmed nothing was wrong. We finally wondered if maybe the kibble bits were just too big for her so we tried this bag and voila! No more puking! So even though she's not a small breed, she apparently needs small kibble. We love the quality of Wellness Core and are glad we found a kibble type that works for our sensitive little husky.

Happy they have a choice for small breeds . Very hard to find one the dogs will eat. Just wished it came in a 24 lb bag . Smaller pieces easier for them the chew

Healthy coat and easy on digestion

My dog loves this food! I do mix it with a small amount of raw food as well and her coat is incredible and she not have any tummy troubles on this formula at all

I tried twice to introduced the food, mixing it with her other kibble, but both times she got very ill. I’m not sure why, but I gave the bag away to a rescue.
