Combination Feeding: If feeding with Wellness wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/8 cup for every 2 tbsp of wet food.
The best way to transition onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet. This is particularly important when the new food is much tastier than the old, as is the case with Wellness. Mixing the food will allow the dog to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food

Small Kibble for Small Mouths
I bought this after one of the vets our rescue uses recommended puppy food for a very thin foster. No, this is not puppy food. However, I researched and researched,
I bought this after one of the vets our rescue uses recommended puppy food for a very thin foster. No, this is not puppy food. However, I researched and researched, and I found that this food was higher in calories, protein and fat than any puppy food I was comfortable feeding. Of note is the dog in question isn't a puppy. Just a very underweight senior who needs to put on weight quickly so that we can take care of some medical problems. I've never seen the small breed Wellness so was pleasantly surprised when I opened the bag to find flat kibbles. I wish the normal Wellness looked like this given it comes in a bigger bag. I am hoping it sets well with this girl as it's clear she loves it. Her teeth are little nubs, so this has to be easier for her to eat than the other food she's been having here. Even though her teeth are awful, she's not at all picky and actually seems to prefer dry food.
