Where are ingredients sourced?

Answer by FranchescaMOct 12, 2022
Wellness ingredients are primarily sourced from North America. WellPet has one of the most strict sourcing criteria of any pet food manufacturer. All ingredient suppliers, whether domestic or international, need to meet certified nutrient levels and be manufactured in quality audited facilities. While there are many high quality ingredients available in the U.S., in some cases there is not a readily available U.S. supply. For example, the Venison, Lamb, Rabbit and Salmon Meal are sourced internationally from New Zealand, Australia, Italy and Chile respectively. WellPet feels that they have the appropriate quality programs in place at all their vendor locations and feel safe and secure with all the ingredients they source, whether they are sourced locally or globally.

The Wellness Ninety-Five Percent Chicken Grain-Free Canned Dog Food would be a great alternative in a pate texture.

This is a good stew your dogs will enjoy.

I had to switch canned dog foods, had problems with another brand and opening cans of food that were black and moldy inside. Tried Wilderness, but that did not agree with my pups tummies, so I tried this. A hit, smells good and a fairly simple recipe. I need to stick with a poultry based food for these guys, and I use this as a topper for their dry dog food and broth mix.

I have two small Boston terriers that I’m sure are purely spoiled beyond help. I have tried multiple different kinds of foods and they just will not eat them. However, this tends to happen if you feed them people food like meats and cheese. I doubt seriously if this is the fault of the dog food as it looks awesome and smells great in a pinch, I’d be tempted to eat at myself..

The meat and vegetables are visible not a mush where I can't tell what it is.

Murphy loves the food, he used to leave the food I used to feed him but not anymore.

My dogs both are older and their stomachs have become more sensitive. I had tried the Wellness dry food and they both loved it, so I decided to try the wet. I was happy when I saw they had a specific food for sensitive stomachs, so I ordered it. I weaned them slowly and began adding the Chicken stew and peas, on occasion they both do have flatulence, but the soft stools and vomiting have ceased. I’m happy with it as a topper for their dry kibble.

Great for my dog’s sensitive stomach.

I put some chicken stew on top of dry food and my dog eats it all. Well worth the money and autoship works great.

I always buy Charli stew, she’s not a fan of pate and helps with hydration. She doesn’t go crazy over this but it’s a nice everyday food she likes it and is excited
