I purchased the Caitec Featherland Paradise Hanging Paddles Bird Toy. I was very disappointed in the cheap quality of this product. Within 10 minutes of placing it in my bird cage, the toy was totally destroyed. The materials it was made with were basically junk. The beads easily broke in half, the paddles broke and the cheap wire they were strung on was so soft it might as well have been made of cotton. My bird is a Congo African Grey, not a large bird at all. The advertisement for this toy should say it is for very small birds only, such as a parakeet. Otherwise, it will basically fall apart and the small beads could pose a danger to your bird if they were to be swallowed. This review site required I rate this item with their star system. I gave it the lowest rating available. I would have given it a negative star were one available.
Immediately, PrettyPretty formulated and carried out a mission of destruction. I went to the movies. Three hours later, home again. Toy all gone! Well, two or three pieces left, but what a busy boy PrettyPretty had been! He LOVED it.
My conures loved it, quickly destroyed. A fun toy for budgies also! Will buy again as it’s very affordable.
The bird loved it was in pieces in a day. Goffin Cockatoo.
It is very entertaining for the Birds it seems to be safe for them to play with !!!
I purchased this item back in April 2021. Throughout the Summer, Romeo (the parakeet) would sleep in the middle of the paddles. Now that the Winter is here, and I cover his cage at night. He has begun to munch on the paddles. As others have stated, the paddles one by one are being chewed apart at the top and falling to the bottom for the cage. As you can see in the photo's he's been caught in the act.
This is my black capped conures favorite toy. I paid only $3.59 for it. Went to buy another and now $10?!?! That is ridiculous, especially considering it lasts about a day and is very small.
Bird had plucked all paddles off ring within 8 hrs. Not worth the cost.
Have cockatoo that tore it up but loved it and occupied him for an hour. I need to buy parrot toys!!
This is my birdie's all the time favorite. It is easy to chew and she enjoys sticking her head in the hoop too. It is not so durable, so it might not be good for a birdie friend who likes to play constantly.
