    Calms The Most Active

    By on

Omg, this calming disk was included free with our protective collar. We had no idea of the benefits of this device. Our 15 month old Labrabull is high energy, gets into everything., rambunctious, and so adorable. Before putting this disk on his collar, he only sat still inside of his kennel. With this disk, I have a well behaved dog. I love this thing.

    it worked for us

    By on

I want to start off by saying that I work for a rescue and I know for a fact that this does not work for every dog. That being said, wow, oh my gosh, it worked for us. My dog is a border collie mix, he is a ball of energy that can get pretty anxious. I was taking him yo the dog park daily just to let him run it out for an hour and he was still edgy. I got this collar attachment completely by accident. when his sister got spayed, I bought her one of those inflatable collar alternatives and it came with this attachment. I stuck it on my super hyper dog's collar and--i am not joking--he instantly changed. I'm not saying he is never bad, but ever since this attachment I have been able to, say, skip I want to start off by saying that I work for a rescue and I know for a fact that this does not work for every dog. I imagine this product works better for dogs who have a kind of ongoing anxiety than it does for situational anxiety. I have no idea how it works but I will continue to use this product for the rest of forever. its awesome. … more

Bought this for my 1yr old lab. He was starting to have separation anxiety when I would leave him. So I bought this as I didn't want to do drugs if at all possible. So far it is working for him. Only been using about 2 weeks now.

    I wanted to cry

    By on

We put the disk on my 18 mo dog's collar and within minutes there were positive changes. My dog was always after my older dogs we just didnt know why. We would put the older dogs in our room. While the 18 mo was out. With putting this on we watched a transformation. The one older dog came out of our room. The dog wearing the calming disk, for the first time in over a year, did not go for the older dog, did not try to stop her from doing anything. We knew the younger dog was restless, and not sleep much ( we would watch from a camera) and we had issues with her, such as going to vet or around other dogs, or just slight noises etc.. The vet suggested for visits trazadone. That did not work. We put the disk on my 18 mo dog's collar and within minutes there were positive changes. We were starting to question if this was the right home for her. This makes me want to cry with the positive changes. I would definitely recommend a try. Though. This is probably not for every dog. It was the right thing for our girl. … more

    Not any calmer

    By on

I have a small dog that always barks at large dogs on his walk. I thought the lavender scent would help. It has not. When I took it out of sealed foil pouch the scent was so strong-now it has faded over a week. Even though I thought it was expensive because it only lasts one month, I was willing to try anything to keep him from being aggressive toward larger dogs. I am looking for a new cure!

    By on

Purchased the Calming Paws Disc collar attachment for our Keeshond granddog who barks at everyone and everything passing in front of the house. Easy attachment however it sure didn’t work—for him or us!

    I Don't Like the Smell

    By on

I bought these alongside the Sentry calming spray to use on a 4 hour car ride with my dogs. My vet had also recommended the calming disks for our dogs due to my younger female trying to assert dominance. It's hard to say how the collars helped because I couldn't stand the smell of them long enough to try them out on the car ride. (They remind me of the smell of flea collars that people often buy for cats.) We tried them for about 12 hours in the house the day before our trip. I will say that one of my dogs seemed a little calmer in the house when the mailman came, but then she also barked like crazy at a UPS guy so it could be a coincidence. I did however really like the Sentry spray and it had I bought these alongside the Sentry calming spray to use on a 4 hour car ride with my dogs. Helps with meeting new people!

    By on

I wish this came in a box of 10. Our dog angrily barks and growls at every person who visits us, and continues to do so if she's never met them before. She may be small, but she has a loud, deep bark that is intimidating. I have tested two of these fresh out of the box, the first when we went to a party and the second was when we had a new couple over for dinner. At the party, there were only a couple of barks (since she IS still a dog), but we were able to have full conversations with our friends and family, and she happily let them pet her without growling, which is the usual case. This definitely helps our schnauzer mix when she's introduced to a new social situation. It seems to lose its effective scent rather quickly, even when kept in a well-sealed Ziploc, so for us it's been best to just use a brand-new one with every new event. I highly recommend you give this a shot, I was so skeptical and I'm glad I gave it a chance! … more
