For use with Calm Paws E-Collars & Caring Collars: Remove Calm Paws gel patch from the package and release from the tray. Pull the cover flap on the e-collar from its retaining slots. Place the gel patch on the surface of the e-collar directly under the cover flap. Replace the cover flap and secure in its retaining slots. Attach e-collar to your pet following manufacturer's directions.
For Calm Paws Caring Collars, attach the gel patch to the heart-shaped plastic insert located in the fabric pouch.
With Pet Crates, Standard E-Collars or in Cars: Release Calming Gel Patch from tray and place into the Calm Paws Patch Protector (sold separately) before attaching to surface. For Pet Crates attach on a clean dry surface close to air holes but out of reach of the pet, the outside surface of the crate is best for locating the patch and patch protector. On standard e-collars place the gel patch and patch protector on the inside surface of the collar. If using in cars ensure patch and protector are placed out of reach of the pet but in an area that offers good circulation of air to the whole car.

GREAT PRODUCT
By Grandmajody on Jan 27, 2021
One of our small dogs needed eye surgery and she has always been "nervous" and the other dogs tend to be overly curious with anything new on another dog. We had not had a good experience with the usual cone that is used post-op and I was thinking of getting the smaller inflatable collar and noticed the calming patches too. We put the patch on her collar the first night we got the product (SUPER FAST SERVICE!) and noted that she was calmer right away. The vet also did dental work on our dog and we were not happy to have the dog come home with no pain med and no post-op instructions. I can not help but feel the whole experience would have been a nightmare without having had these two products on One of our small dogs needed eye surgery and she has always been "nervous" and the other dogs tend to be overly curious with anything new on another dog. Smells nice, but I’m not sure it helped.
By Moonbeam622 on Mar 10, 2020
My 1.5 year old golden was neutered recently, and we had to use an e-collar when he got a little too interested in his sutures. (We used the blue plastic Calm Paws e-collar and it worked fine!) I ordered this patch of the same brand, preparing for the struggle of helping our guy heal. I don’t think it ended up helping out much; we ended up having to medicate him with Trazodone for the full 2 week healing period. At least it smelled pleasant?

Better than Calming Treats
By SweetPotato on Jul 5, 2019
This worked amazingly well for my dog when he had to use the cone a while back ago, but we found it works even better than we thought for multiple situations. We didn't realize Jax would be so upset this year over the fireworks, he has never been afraid of them in his 4 years of life but for whatever reason he was not okay yesterday. Having no anxiety shirt for him, I put on his hoodie and wrapped the extra gel heart in the hood of his hoodie where he couldn't get to it and it wouldn't touch him. I don't think it would have hurt him, but just in case. After a few minutes he settled down with us watching over him and now he's pretty chill. I wouldn't say it would work for a dog with severe anxiety This worked amazingly well for my dog when he had to use the cone a while back ago, but we found it works even better than we thought for multiple situations. I did remove it after a while, it's scent is very strong so I was able to set it out near him in our room and it still works. … more
