Definitely works
This was a very helpful addition to our dog gear for a summertime road trip through some hot desert locations! Biggest drawback is the lack of a slit on the chest for harnesses with front hooks. One of the question answers on this listing says these work with any type of harness but that's not entirely accurate. We ended up putting the harness on top of the cooling vest (don't forget to upsize your harness a little bit if you do that!), and eventually scrapping it altogether and just hooking onto his collar.
Nice but unadjustable..
This vest is well made. My only issue is that we can't actually use it! The straps won't stay tight. Not sure if mine is defective or ??? But as soon as I tighten it it just loosens back up IMMEDIATELY. Can't really judge it's effectiveness if it doesn't fit properly. I was considering ordering a size up because this one doesn't go all the way to her tail but I'm worried the next one won't be adjustable either.. (This is a size 16)

This cooling vest is exactly what we have been looking for! Our little dog has hardly any hair on his back due to a genetic skin disease and is very sensitive to the sun. This vest keeps him shielded from the sun without adding water to it and keeps him cool for longer walks with the addition of water. The fabric and the fit is perfect! We are overjoyed!
Great cooling vest
I got this cooling vest because I have a little black dog who overheats easily when it's over 70 degrees outside. Before the vest she'd come back wiped and panting heavily, even if we walked the shortest route. Now with this vest she can walk the whole route easily, and she stays upright and alert once we get home, instead of laying on her side to recover. I hang the vest up after use, and I notice that if I wet it around 10 or 11am, it stays cool and damp until after I go to bed at 10pm. Even if your dog has a long day out this vest should work for quite a while. If your dog wears a harness, keep that in mind when you measure. I wish I had got a size up because I didn't think about it having to fit over the dog's harness.

Cooling vest works very well. My dog has a heart condition and it is imperative that he keeps cool in the summer so this vest is a must for him. I highly recommend it.
REALLY KEEPS MY PUP COOL!!!
I'm absolutely amazed by how well this vest works and all you do is get it wet. No chemicals and you don't have to put it in the freezer. One of my dogs does not do well in the heat. I've been carrying a mister bottle of water and spraying him during walks, including his paws. This vest is so much better. He pants a lot less and walks along full of energy and we live in a hot climate. I measured him carefully and the chart was accurate.

It works~ my big pup can't walk in hot or humid days and this vest really works great, I just added more water when the vest gets little dry~ I'm very happy with the vest!!
Notable improvement for my sr dog
As my dog gets older, he is becoming much less heat-tolerant. I was heartbroken leaving him behind on summer walks, and this has made a huge difference. He loves his walks again, and I love that he's happy. Also, he's just so cute in his rainbow tie-dye.
So Far So Good
Fortunately we haven’t had a lot of hot weather this summer but we did use it one day. It was fairly easy to put on and our boy didn’t seem to mind it, so we’ll call it a success :-)
Great product
I tried another brand but it dried out within 10 mins. This one stayed wet/cool for over two hours!! Perfect for the summer hikes.
